HAYMAN-WOODWARD

Mr. Leonardo Freitas is a Brazilian-born entrepreneur with over 20 years experience in business development in emerging markets with a focus in Latin America and Asia.

An accomplished musician, he attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music (Boston – USA), majoring in Music Production and Sound Engineering, and did an internship at Polygram Records (now Universal Music) as a post production studio manager.

Shifting careers in 1993 to focus in Telecommunications and IT as a business developer, he served as an executive for distinguished companies such as Philips Electronics (Broadcasting and Cryptography), Scopus Video Networks (Now Harmonic), and DRAX Wireless;  receiving numerous awards in recognition for his career achievements.

In March 2006 HAYMAN-WOODWARD signed its first white label contract with TANDBERG (now part of Cisco Telepresence), where Mr. Freitas was contracted to be their acting director of business development reorganizing their channel sales and implemented a new C-Level go-to-market discipline for strategic accounts.
After the success of the proof of concept case at TANDBERG, Mr. Freitas signed up with three major clients:  Electrosonic (visual communications integrator), ATEME (Broadcasting and Video Security & Surveillance equipment manufacturer from France), and Zenith Bank of Nigeria (Offshore Private Banking); implementing their go-to-market strategies for emerging markets, eventually establishing what it is now known as the HAYMAN-WOODWARD Business Development Outsourcing Service.

Mr. Freitas is officially recognized for his ability to recognize and interpret facial microexpressions and deceptive behavior, without any formal training; and he specialized and is certified as a trainer in the Facial Action Coding System (FACS), a technique developed by renowned psychiatrist and behavioral scientist Dr. Paul Ekman.
His natural ability is used to assist Fortune 500 companies in their selective process for key executives, as well as law enforcement Agencies in special investigations.
Additionally, he provides field training in Deceptive Behavior Detection for government agents and a select list of civilian contractors.

A naturalized US citizen, Mr. Freitas is a certified paramedic, aviator, avid skier, and yachtsman. He speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish as a native, and is also fluent in French and Italian.
